Tasmania's Own Artist Esther Shohet (originally born in Brisbane) provides you with a little taste of Tasmania's beauty she found along her travels.

Artist Esther Shohet was born in Brisbane. As a child, she developed a deep enthusiasm for drawing and painting. With an initial qualification in Fashion Design, she relocated to London in the 80's, ultimately embracing her true vocation--art. Esther embarked on formal study in Paris before returning to Australia to be a Graphic Designer.

She then moved to Japan, using a Batik method to paint on silk and create colourful works that exude joy and energy. Esther has exhibited her art in Japan, Singapore, the US and Australia, and now lives in Tasmania, a place of rich heritage and stunning scenery that supplies her with ongoing inspiration.
